This is Fantastic! Thank you for writing this!

Another thing that makes me angry, in Reynolds comments about the Iowa Supreme Court’s ruling on 6 weeks, she was thankful to the court for doing what ALL Iowans wanted!

Um, NO! Not all of us wanted this!

I hope she doesn’t include “all Iowans,” as agreeing! We don’t agree with her dictatorship nor the rest of her Republicans BS!

She’s so naive, she probably believes all Iowans agree with her??!?

Actually, she knows this is a lie. When she claims "All Iowans" she's only trying to establish a false narrative among her base. In other words, fool them into believing something that isn't true. A standard political ploy, particularly within today's Republican Party. They have to cheat at every avenue possible. One thing that Reynolds can't be accused of is being stupid. She's a con artist and a bully and will resort to any tactic to achieve her goal.

I imagine you’re probably correct. In any case, she’s the worst Governor I remember and I hope she’s not running again.

Thank you, Rekha. I mourn for the women and girls of this state. It screams to me that the state continues its trudge towards evolutionary backwardness towards women’s health. Many women may not even know that their reproductive healthcare rights have been ripped from them. The paucity of recourse is astounding. And it is shameful. How dare the Republican trifecta mess with women’s and girls’ right to family planning. That their rulings are stronger than a doctor’s advice or our state’s medical capabilities at UIHC. It doesn’t matter. That women who are in their most vulnerable financial moments are at risk for being forced to bear children. It seems particularly heinous that a state attorney general would purposely use her political influence to delay access to funding for rape victim kits. Or the cruelty of a governor’s purposeful severing access to a federally funded summer food program designed to feed kids in poverty circumstances. Not family friendly. More like denialist, elitist, misogynistic, judgmental, obstructionist, Republicans’ politically controlled trifecta using their own firebrand religious beliefs to motivate their political agenda. and pressing women and girls backwards into repressed legal footing. I makes me angry and it makes me grieve. Thank you for your voice, Rekha. As a man, husband and father, I need to do more preserve women and girls’ rights and to involve myself in ways to spread the word on this issue-to demand women’s reproductive healthcare rights.

The phrase "protecting unborn life" really bothers me because to be born means to be brought into life by birth. I can't even tell you how angry this makes me.
