It’s important to remember that we have enough of everything for everyone in this world, and recognize how much healthier and peaceful humanity and nature would be recognizing that. Thanks for sharing this important reminder.
Fast fashion is my absolute nemesis. Took me six months to get my daughter to stop order off that horrible site Shein. They're one of the biggest offenders. Teen girls flock to it.
Lol, Richard. It is currently just women simply because it evolved that way. No decision was ever made, as far as I can remember. But I think it would be awesome for you and some of your guy friends to get together, go through your closets and launch one. And when you do, please let me know what you scored for a follow-up column!
Kudos to you, Rekha. The human interest story of Swap is a perfect nest in which to nestle the vital reality of the unsustainable nature of the clothes culture we have created.
Thanks, Virginia. I was shocked to learn from Vicki and Susan just how destructive the environmental, and cultural consequences of our fashion choices can be.
Brilliant idea, Rekha. I mentioned it to our daughter and she knew all about “Swaps” (Of course! Young people are way more in the know than us oldsters!). Are these Swaps open to others or is it a set group of people who form their “Swap Group”?

Thanks for sharing that, Kali. I'd never heard of fast fashion before but have been shocked reading about it - and its consequences.
Rekha— Fascinating column. Is Swaps only for women or is there a Swaps for the guys? I could use some preowned khakis.

Been there: Reichardt's lower level. "No sale is ever final. . . ."
I see the start of a guys' quorum here.

Thanks Joel. We are always open to others, and would welcome your daughter's presence! If you send me her contact info, I'll add her to the list.
